National Honor Society
Purpose
The La Salle High School Chapter of National Honor Society embodies the continuing emphasis on excellence that we represent for our school and our community. Members of our chapter serve as role models and mentors for other students in the school. In addition to the strong academic records which establishes eligibility for membership, our chapter members are leaders in many student organizations and serve our school and community through a variety of activities.
Membership
Eligibility is determined by a student’s cumulative grade point average, which must meet or exceed our chapter's standard for Scholarship set at 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale), and achieve positive citizenship marks in classes. Eligible sophomore, junior or senior students will be invited to apply, where the Faculty Council will then review their credentials in relation to the NHS standards of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
Induction Ceremony
New NHS members will be inducted as part of our spring Academic Awards Night in May.
