    Yakima’s Ship Shop, founded in 2022 and owned by Nicholas “Nick” Kline ‘02, is a locally run business in the Westpark Shopping Plaza offering shipping through UPS, FedEx, and USPS, along with mailboxes, printing, and package supplies. The shop also highlights over 125 Northwest vendors by selling local wine, beer, candy, and other products. Kline is recognized for his community focus, Community support is one of the foundations of his business model so when there is a chance to step up and help we do. This helps to make the shop both a shipping center and a supportive neighborhood hub.

The salon emphasizes high-quality and personalized service, with owner Torry H. “Torrance” McGuire ’01 having personally curated a team of skilled stylists to ensure that every guest receives expert care and attention

  • Melody Lane Dance, Music, and Drama Academy - Sarah Marquis Smith '11

    Melody Lane in Yakima is a full-service performing arts school offering more than 75 weekly classes in dance, acting, theatre, music and singing for children and teens, all situated in a spacious 10,000-square-foot studio located at 3901 Creekside Loop, Suite #102. Under the leadership of Sarah Marquis-Smith ‘11—who grew up in the Melody Lane family beginning dance at age two, earned a Bachelor of Science in Dance, then returned to teach full time before becoming owner in 2018—students receive community-centered, high-quality training that builds artistry, confidence, and character.
